Assignments

I am a doctor specializing in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Deputy head of the Acceptance and Emergency Department of the Hospital "Franz Tappeiner" in Merano in the Südtiroler Sanitätsbetrieb - South Tyrolean Health Authority from June 2019.

Currently at the forefront of clinical management and coronavirus emergency organization. In particular, he is responsible for the infectious and semi-intensive department of the emergency department of the Merano hospital.

From January 2016 to May 2019 appointed by the Udine Integrated University Health Agency as head of the management of the Nephrology and Dialysis SOS of the Cividale del Friuli Hospital. Thanks to innovative transversal managerial techniques of horizontal leadership, the SOS, with the same budget and staff, acquires not only haemodialysis, but also peritoneal dialysis and some territorial telemedicine processes. It exponentially increased its outpatient activities, becoming an important preventive health activity and a territorial reference centre and integrated activity with general practitioners and district and local centres.

From March 2019 Head of SOS (simple operational structure) of Nephrology and Dialysis of the Hospital of Cividale del Friuli, Integrated University Hospital of Udine.

From 2016 to February 2019 Responsible for the CAD (decentralised assistance centre) of Nephrology and Dialysis of the Cividale del Friuli hospital. 

From February 2002 to 2016 he is Medical Manager with permanent role at SOC (simple operational structure) of Nephrology and Dialysis of the Local Health Authority n°4 Friuli Centrale, Cividale del Friuli Hospital.

From 2017 he is acta commissioner for the establishment of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Section of the Italian Society for Digital Health and Territorial Telemedicine

Since December 2007 he is President of the Italian Myelin Project based at the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome, branch of the Myelin Project foundation in Washington aimed at research for the treatment of therapies for demyelinating rare and neurological diseases.
